cause they were US citizens, the government siezed their land and property and put them in Camps, Most of their land was sold off to white people. And they never got a dime for it

Because they were put into camps because of the xenophobia towards Japan. Anytime America goes to war or has a problem with a country all of a sudden everybody else is the enemy, including Americans of the ethnic descent of the country they got a problem with. I'd like to see the snooty standard middle and high class WASP Republican Americans go through that for a change...

Many rights were non-existent for Americans of Asian descent during WWII in America. So their constitutional and civil rights ceased to exist. However, some rights did continue, like the right to life, to live.
But many of these unlucky folks lost all of their the material possessions without recourse to justice, and they lost four years of income and freedom. It was a perfect example of over-reacting along racial lines at a time of war.
Hopefully, the songs of Manzanar well not be forgotten.
