There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a virgin today. It's slowly becoming more popular now. In fact, it's the safest thing to do; with STD's and the chance of pregnancy. It would be great if alot more young men and women would wait till they get married to have sex. Today, couples have sex on the first date, they live together before they get married and alot of couples break up in a short time. The guys or girls get what they want and there's a lack of commitment alot of the time. It's now becoming cool to be a virgin.

If it is a personal choice, by all means it's not wrong. No one should care whether or not a person has given themselves to another. In this day & age where sex is glorified, it's accepted for a 14 year old to not be a virgin. I personally think that's wrong, but as a whole, it's true. I applaud you for remaining a virgin, regardless of your age. When your Mr./Ms. Right comes along, all the more better. Have pride for what you are, & what you believe in.

Being a virgin is not wrong as a matter of fact I believe it is a good option since there are so many diseases out there. Now, do not get me wrong, sex is not wrong but it is an option, your option.
For me it was all about love and believe me, sex + love is the best way, sex without love does not taste the same. At least not for me.

If you feel it and the moment is right then... follow your heart (but be prepared, safe sex)

Not at all.

Don't let people tell you it is. In today's world, we seem to think as a society that one needs to lose their virginity in their early teens.

I wish I had waited for my husband. He has the same regrets. Don't let people tell you that it's wrong, or unbalanced. I was told by my psychology teachers in college that I had inhibitions about sex - that I say it in a bad, dirty way. That I had deep seated issues and that was why I hadn't slept with anyone. After a few years of that, I unfortunately started to believe it. But it's not true, and neither is the belief that to be a virgin is wrong.

No. It's nothing to be ashamed of or take pride in.

At worst, if you've been trying to be sexually active your virginity could be a sign that you're making poor dating choices. Or maybe you're just picky. But there's nothing wrong with being a virgin per se. The same things could be said of a non-virgin who is just currently sexually inactive.

absolutely not as I've always told my children.... everytime you have sex with someone you give away a little piece of your heart and then when you find the right person to spend your life with you can never give your whole heart because you've already given pieces of it away...... my kids have listened well and wear a wristband ......SAVED FOR MY SPOUSE

No but people sure do try and make you feel it is. Seems to me that the ones who speak negatively about it wish they could have theirs back again. If they had it to do all over again, they honestly would have waited.

No, its your choice whether you want to become sexually active or not. Nobody can tell you that you have to do something, if you're not comfortable doing it.
