Yes you could...But WHY would you want to???
Don't you remember being a child or teen?

A six foot fence may reduce their incursions, but not likely the footballs. Such a fence costs time and money, and costs time for policing for errant footballs. Instead, I'd try to learn how to co-exist better, maybe a fence - with a gate they can use. Or learn how to play football. Likely, young people who will grow old enough soon enough to where they become more sedentary, then no more football. I once had a huge corner lot a couple of blocks from a school, and discovered that kids would cut across my back yard to get there. Saw their footprints in the snow, when I was out feeding the birds in the winter, windchill well below zero. Took the yard tractor with a blade and made a path diagonally across the yard to make it easier for them. Actually had less traffic after that, and one of the neighborhood parents stopped by to thank me, handing me a plate of fresh-baked cookies. Later that winter, when my wife got stuck in a drift in the driveway, some noticed, came over and got her out. Could have just put up a "No Trespassing" sign, but it wouldn't have turned out the same.

I suppose you could but it is a bit mean if you do. Where you never a child? It may be annoying but please let the kids have it back. Talk to the parents if it is bugging you. Try to remember when you played football in the back garden would you be mad if the neighbour kept your ball.

No. If you are being bothered by children accidentally kicking a football over your fence. Speak to the parents, tell them of your concerns. Try to settle any arguments amicably.

Yes you can, especially if they keep kicking it in your garden. We where all kids & I think did much about the same thing & for as many times we were told to go to the park we never listened . So when you see the kids that kicked the ball into your garden just tell them , if they want there ball back they have to promise not to play near your garden again . then say please Makes them feel important.

No, it remains their property, but neither are you obliged to allow access to your garden to retrieve it. I would advise you to chuck it back ... it really is for the best. It might take you a few days to get round to it though, you're a busy man ;)

Legally you will have only obtained 'possession' of the ball but that does not make you the 'owner'. If you keep it you are stealing it.
