how do you upgrade your hard drive from 30gigs to a larger amount for windows xp???

My computer has a 30 gig hard drive and is full because of itunes and **** like that. So I need to know how to update it and install a new hard drive. Please help me!!!!

You can either replace it & go through the pains of reistalling Windows & all your software OR you can just add a second hard drive to your PC (what I would do).

Best answer I can give you is to get something like Norton Ghost and make a full backup of your C drive to a few DVDs or an external disk, and also make a copy of your recovery partition on a CD or DVD if there is one. Then swap out the drives and restore the recovery partition first, then the C drive. If you have a windows CD you can also change the jumpers on the original drive to make it a secondary drive and add the new drive, then install windows and all your software on the new drive and copy your tunes from the old drive when you're done.
