From personal experience I would go with Ashlynn as a middle name. In case your little girl looks like you, people will call her Ashlee, and it will get ANNOYING! I know. My mom and I had the same hair color, eye color, and complexion, and boom, I was constantly being called "Jennifer" even though my name is "Stephanie" even my own grandmother confuses us! so I suggest to do something like Nicole Ashlynn, or Genevieve Ashlynn. Those sound nice together. It's just a precaution, so that your babies name isn't a nuisance in the future. And congratulations!

I don't see a problem in it! At least your not naming her a junior like a lot of people do. Ashlynn is a beautiful name, and it's actually kinda cute that your names would be so close!
I have a friend named KayCee and she named her daughter KayLee

First off it isn't the same name and it is pretty. Second even if you were naming her Ashlee whats wrong with that we name boys after their fathers all the time and don't think twice whether it's right or wrong so why not name girls after their mothers. I don't think there is any problem with it.

There isnt a problem with it if you love that name. Its very close to your name so it may be a bit confusing when the baby is learning to talk... but not really because she will be calling you mommy. Its sweet because it gives the feel that she was named after you in a way. (I always thought it was funny, at Christmas my brother and mom would always open each others presennt because their names were close - Bev & Ben, but it was a big laugh, not annoying.) Besides... Perheps you would call her Ash or a nickname and you maybe go by some other nickname or full? (I know a father & son that is junior, so they call his dad Lew, and him lewy.) Hope this helped.

You could make that her middle name and then come up with a first name. That way the baby could go by either and if it became too confusing you'd have a plan to fall back on.

I don't see any problem with it at all. Sons get their fathers names quite frequently, so I don't see any problem with a daughter getting a name similar to her mother's. I like the name a lot by the way.

I think it would be better if her middle name was closer to yours. That way it wouldn't be so confusing when someone was calling your name. Try _____ Ashlynn (i.e. Tyla or Carrie).
