when one does a person name search and it appears on google, what is the procedure to have ones name removed.
will it automatically be removed after a certain time?
are there companies who do it?

it can't
if you name is of pubic record or has appeared on any sort of website out there ( be it governemnt, public or private ) the web crawlers at google have allready indexed it and have it in their massive database meta index. it's permanant ( even if you die.. it's forever.. )
this is why you should never have a myspace page which give out any details, much less your name

If you are able to remove each site that has the name that you want to remove from the web or at least remove the rename I think that google will not find it after some time cause I think that it updates the search result after some time.

One does not remove one's name from Google. One must first discover where Google is getting one's name from first and ask them to remove it.

Google retains all search result and data indefinitely...there is no way to remove it.
