Best bet is to simply let nature take its course. In a few weeks, the hair will have grown out and been replaced. In the meantime, it won't bother the cat.

Well, I hope you wrote something nice. It'll come out eventually on it's own, or you could give kitty a haircut. I don't recommend a bath. Chasing a soapy cat around a bathroom is difficult.

Use plain old rubbing alcohol...it won't hurt the cat if you don't get it in the eyes and it will easily remove the ink.
May I suggest next time you write on your mother and tell her that what is good for the goose is good for the gander....

i do not imagine that's going to because there nevertheless will be fur below the collar. you would possibly want to look ahead to inflammation or if the cat is scratching round there a lot. maximum folk do not look on the bottom of collars for huge form FYI.

Time and patience. The marker won't hurt the kitty.
The cleaning methods would probably do more harm.
