I think some people worry too much about being snowed in and starving to death. So they over prepare to make sure they have enough food. Some times it's handy but the storm we just had was nothing. But hay at least some people are more prepared. If we all run out of food we can go to the peoples homes that buy way to much food and eat there. Peace.

There is a logic to it. Milk and bread are both perishable so people tend not to have large quantities in the house. As snow is forecast they tend to anticipate they will be unable to get to the shops and so buy larger stocks in order to cover potential shortfall.

If you ever got snowed in for days with out it you would understand. Try this experiment. Get together with a friend. You and your family are confined to your house with no milk and no bread and you have no idea when you will be able to get out. Your friend sets a date and time she is going to let you out but you don't know when that will be. You don't know when will be the next time you will be able to get out and go shopping for groceries. What you have in your house is all there is and there's no way to get any more until your friend lets you out. That's what it's like to be snowed in.

Hahaha i've got been thinking an identical ingredient myself. If the skill is going our from the typhoon, what are they going to do with the eggs? ultimately the milk will flow undesirable too. merely purchase quite some soda and chips and you're set!

A desire to try to "save" themselves...it makes more sense than the buying of Duct Tape! (Remember when there was notice of some bad weather coming and/or terriorist attacks and the U.S. citizens went out and bought all the duct tape off of all the store shelves? NOW THAT WAS INSANE!!)
