when i am in park my engine revs from 1000 to 1500 rpms. and it makes a loud noise when it shifts gears sometimes. what is the problem and how can i fix it

Sounds like vacumm leak best way to find out is spray some WD 40 over the hoses and which ever one cause engine to settle down or die is the one.

Have the engine tune up and check the transmission oil level. If the oil level is normal, check the transmission if it needs overhaul.

is your check engine light comming on? if so, does it stay on or off and on?

it has a bad plug or wires check them both
