Pigs cannot fly because they are not aerodynamic. Their bone and muscle structure during embryological development doesnot depict the exact wing bones of birds. THis results is that pigs cannot fly.

Good question. Most probably think the lack of wings is the reason, but that's not necessarily true. There are birds with wings that can't fly. Think ostrich, emu, etc. Flying squirrels manage to do it without wings. Ditto for flying fish. So it's obvious that wings are not a prerequisite for flight, since some animals without wings can fly and others with wings can't. Some will claim it's a matter of weight and aerodynamic principles, like lift, thrust, drag, etc. However, the bumble bee violates all those principles and still manages to fly, so it's obvious that weight and aerodynamics have nothing to do with it either. I think the most likely explaination is that pigs COULD fly, but they just choose not to!

Given that
Gravitational force = (G * m1 * m2) / (d^2)
and that a pig weights approximately lets assume 100lbs.
it has a mass on earth of about 45kg.
A bird uses the concept of lift when flyinging, the curvature of it's wing uses the Bernoulli principle to create a lower pressure above the wing then below, essentially the birds wing is "sucked up" carrying the bird with it.
As the pig has a mass of 45kg, and has no wings to enact the Bernoulli principle to it's advantage...or any other principle for that matter. It must be concluded that all pigs shall be earthbound.

A flying pig is a symbol of an impossible event coming to pass. The popular saying "[it will happen] when pigs fly" (or "when pigs have wings") is traditionally used to mean that the specified event will never occur.

First of all, pigs lack wings. Additionally, birds are adapted for flying; they have hollow wing bones, large chest muscles, and air sacs that provide additional oxygen while flying.
I do have a kite that looks like a pig; in that sense, pigs can fly.

Firstly, pigs don't have wings. Secondly, they're mammals and there is only one flying mammal - the bat. Thirdly, the largest flying bird is smaller than a pig.

I asked them the same question and here are the answers i got from pigs.
1. Fear of heights.
2. They like it on ground (walking, running) and not flying.
3. They couldn't afford wings! :-)

1. because they don't have wings
2. because they have too much bulk
3. because they aren't designed to fly!
FYI: the largest flying bird in the world doesn't weigh more than 25 pounds, so you do the math. Nothing could fly if it weighed much more than that and would need huge wings! (more than a 10 ft wingspan).

They can and do fly.
Visit any flying club. The pigs are the pilots who take other people's turns in the aeroplane!
