I am looking at a Ford-150, The new Toyota Tundra and the Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel. Which would be the best for all around use. Such as towing a trailer that weighs 2 tons, and hauling. I want something that will last.

Thanks

If you are looking for towing capability, you need to go with the Dodge.

Hands down, the F-150 is the leader in towing/hauling. Rates high in dependability according to JDPower which is the authority on automotive research data. Best crash ratings as well, leads the segment in interior quietness, and quality interior materials all around.

I'm giving you a link to TruthAboutTrucks, which explains the differences between the F-150 and it's competitors. They take the vehicles apart and show the structure, how it's build, and what makes it stronger than the competition.

Simple things like the frame...Ford F-150 has a completely boxed, thick frame rails...the competition (like the Tundra) have skinny Open "C" Channel frame...not acceptable. Everything down to the bolts they analyst, take a look.

Also, if you need even more hauling ability, the new F-series Superduty's just debuted this month, where people are sayin "not only did they raise the bar, they through it out the window"...from all the features and hauling capacities which make it the leader in it's segment... the integrated ladder step up, to the integrating towing brake system...everything down to the numerous trim levels and available bed lengths and capacities, you pick what you need.

But definately take a look at the link, very informative, I was shocked at the shoddiness that some manufacturer's are putting out, even Toyota....

Hope this helps ;-)

Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins I would say because than you know it definitely can haul y our loads.. I'm just afraid ford 150 and tundra wont have the horse power you will need to haul . IT could do it but the engine might not last as long..
