i here foot steps at night when everyone is sleeping and the tv turns off but the rest doesnt and i need to turn it back on.

maybe you hit the sleep timer on the tv and maybe you think you hear footsteps

Don't show fear! Ghosts feed on fear, it's like chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream to them. Try an over-the-counter remedy like Ghost-B-Gone. I believe it's made by the people who make "Raid". Spray it liberally on your TV set. Sleep with a white-noise generator so you aren't disturbed by phantom footsteps. Spray more G-B-G around your bed. If you have pets, be careful, it may cause a toxic reaction, especially in black cats.

Sometimes houses make creaking noises that sound like footsteps but sometimes they really are footsteps. You can contact a paranormal group to investigate if you want, they will want to know all activity before they come. They will be able to tell you if they find any scientific evidence that your house may be haunted. IF you aren't having problems then I wouldn't worry about it. Most hauntings are harmless and you have nothing to worry about.

lol...Conduct a séance to ask the ghost a favor. Since he's spending so much time in your house, see if he would be willing to tutor you. That way, he'd be too busy helping you with your grammar to turn off your tv.

ghosts are like bees, the feed on fear... You can't appear to be afraid of the ghost... most of the time , if you politley ask the ghost to go away it will, but like I said, you can't act afraid. just when you hear the footsteps walk as close as you can to them... follow the sound and tell that punk to leave you alone !
