I have an older sister and a younger brother. So being the middle child I can't say its all bad but it is alittle difficult to get attention when your not the first and your not the baby of the family. But with my older sister I got wisdom and she helped me out as I grew up and with the younger brother not being too far in age with me we got along and I was able to look after him and feel needed a bit.

It is like your invisible unless you mess up then your bad. You have so many people around you and cant talk to any of them. I have two older and two younger. So I am the middle. I feel like my mom baby's the younger two and my dad prefers the older two. So I feel really alone. That's why I stopped at 2 children so there wouldn't be a middle. I always felt like I didn't belong at my own home. I tried to talk to my mom and dad about it and they said I was just being silly. They loved us all. But I say Yeah Right. I only ever wanted to be able to have my parents treat me the same as my brothers and sisters. But It never happened. So maybe this will give you a hint of how it feels to be the middle. Maybe I was just overreacting or jealous. But I think the middle child always feels left out.

The middle child is in a no-win situation. The elder child is considered more important and gets to do everything. The younger child has all the perks, as you have to give in to them because they are younger than you.
I was a middle child, my elder sibling seemed much closer to my father who took him to football etc. my younger sister was petted and pampered by my mother as she was and still is the baby of the family.....It applies all through your life until your parents need looking after then, because the others have always been made such a fuss of they are selfish and consider it your job. Need I say more?

I am the middle of three girls, it was often quite lonely as a child but as an adult it is great, i am close to both my sisters. Saying that i am determined never to have an uneven number of children to avoid the middle child syndrome!!

I'm a middle child, and have never been as beautiful as my elder sister or as clever as my younger brother. It is a lonely experience.

middle children tend to be the peacemakers I know I was Also they often dont get as much attention as their siblings also true in my case
I started off really quiet and than went crazy but as an adult I have found a happy medium
Its all in the raising
