Last Tues I was 4 weeks pregnant and started bleeding - not that heavy (mainly when wiped with toilet paper) and brownish in color. The bleeding was on and off for 1-2 days. I didn't get any cramps but noticed the tiniest looking what i can only descibe as a little thread on the 2nd day. I went to A&E and I have been booked in for a scan next Sat - they can't scan me any sooner as they may not be able to detect a heartbeat, if there is one. I have a whole 6 more days to wait and am going out of my mind with worry, even though the bleeding has stopped. Has anyone had this before? Please help

I'm from England - over here they won't do scans until 6 weeks as before then the results may prove inconclusive and not be able to detect a heartbeat

Chances are it's normal. There could be a chance that it would be something else (i.e. molar pregnancy) but chances are it's just normal, especially since the blood is brown. And because it wasn't heavy, I wouldn't stress TOO much over it.
Because you made that appointment, the best thing you can do is rest, drink a lot of fluid, and put your legs up.

If you had a positive pregnancy test just a few days ago, and still have any pregnancy symptoms that you had before, or an increase in symptoms, you most likely experienced implantation bleeding. This is where you will have a small amount of bleeding or spotting in the first few weeks, normally when your period would be due. It is caused from the egg implanting into the wall of your uterus.
Bleeding in pregnancy can be scary. You may fear that you've had a miscarriage. It has been estimated that 30% of pregnant women will have some bleeding and that 40-60% of these pregnancies will do just fine.

Yes, this has happen to with my first pregnancy. I bleed for a week and when I got my scan done everything was fine. My doctor told me that sometime first time pregnancy females will bleed. I understand how you feeling, because I was so worry something was wrong, all I can tell you is to relax and think positive. Don't stress yourself and stay in bed as much as you can.

That early in pregnancy, you may or may not be exactly 4 weeks. Have you seen your ob/gyn yet? He/She will do an internal exam and determine how many weeks you are by the size of your uterus and the date of your last period. You could be having implantation bleeding. (When the embyo attaches to your uterus.)
Here's a good article:

As long as you are not bleeding in larger amounts, like a regular period, and cramping, you should be fine. If it does become worse, go to an ER if your regular ob/gyn cannot see you.
Best of luck to you,
Mon :-)

this is a tricky one, it could well be implantation bleeding where the fertilised egg implants in the womb, but it could also be a sign of a miscarriage, i have been in ur position and im going to advise you to do something that probably everyone will hate me for, go to A & E tonight and say you have terrible abdominal cramps and they will scan you alright, i know its lying but I think its bad for you to be worrying about this for 6 days that alone could raise your blood pressure xx let me know how you get on, fingers crossed xx

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/GCAxo
