For last few days, whenever I stand up and put my arm down to side, I have a really bad pain in shoulder. It feel like as if my arm is squeezing blood veins in my shoulder and shut off circulation to my arm.

This have happen few time before and usually pain go away by next day.

I never have any serious injury to shoulder and haven't hurt it in past few months.

what could it be that cause this pain?

I am studying as a paramedic here in the near future so i'll tell you what i think it could be. It could be many things. But you know your body better than anyone else. So , like you described, it could be a pinched nerve. Many people get them. If it is chronic meaning on going I suggest you go see your doctor.

Have you had a recent fall or laid on it funny? I don't mean to scare you but my father-in-law had a painful shoulder/arm for months... he had Miloma ( a form of cancer) brought on by a fall he had months earlier! Go to your doctor, you might have done something as minor as pull a muscle.. then again it could be something serious.

You could have a pinched nerve -
this hurts a lot. Take a very warm shower and have someone rub some ben gay on your shoulder - and if you relax someone could find a pressure point where the knot is.
If after this and some advil it is there. Call your MD.
You could have dislocated it..

Do have this checked out as soon as you can. It could be something as simple as a strained muscle or your heart. Please see a doctor and not depend on the answers you get here.
