"THEODORE ROOSEVELT (1901-1909) and FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT (1933-1945) share a famous name but were only distantly related: they were fifth cousins. Teddy Roosevelt was more closely related to Franklin's wife Eleanor, who was his niece. (She was the daughter of Teddy's brother Elliot.) Bonus relatives: Martin Van Buren was a third cousin twice removed to Theodore Roosevelt, and Zachary Taylor (1849-1850) was a fourth cousin thrice removed to FDR. The Roosevelts were the only two presidents in this loop (to date) to serve more than one term."

This sounds a little off subject, but when Diana first married Charles, there were discussions during the wedding ceremony cast on television throughout the day that her geneology traced her to a relationship with several presidents. This included Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt. They are all also related distantly to , George Washington, John Adams and John Quincy and Woodrow Wilson . Upon Colin Powells resignation there were hints that even he was related to George Bush who also is related to Princess Diana. Our ties with England go further than just our relationship as English colonies. The people we secure in the white house are literally blood related to England. Ha. Families in power.

As for the relationship between the two Roosevelts...Eleanor is a 2nd cousin to Franklin and was quite beautiful as a young woman. They had many children. Her direct uncle which would be an Uncle of Franklin's as well, but not directly, was Theodore. He was not fond of Franklin, often calling him weak. This is based on my history studies while in college. I have no means to back this information up other than my notebooks from college which for some strange reason are stored in my mom's attic.

Tham Is correct that FDR was related to Ulysses Grant, on the Delano side of the family, but there is a closer relationship between FDR and another president.
Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 5th cousin of Theodore Roosevelt.
I had trouble finding out the exact relationship. I got it on the Yahoo! search engine, but had to find a site that had a family tree for the Roosevelts. Took the better part of an hour to find one.
