WHAT THE HECK DUDE, I TRIED TO LOAD IT ON MY COMPUTER AND IT SAID SOME JUNK ABOUT NEEDING TO INSTALL THE THE SIMS 2????
ARE THEY TALKING ABOUT THE PC GAME IT CAME WITH OR THE ACTUAL SIMS 2 PC GAME??????????

sims university is an expansion pack! you have to have the sims 2! it says it on the back if you read!

yes it does say so on the box under system requirements. You must have the base game for any of the expansion packs to work. Look on Ebay you might be able to grab a less expensive copy of the sims 2 just make sure it is in the same language as your University
The Sims 2 University is an Expansion Pack and requires The Sims 2 to play. Check to make sure you can run The Sims 2.

I believe the University version is an expansion pack. You do have to have the original Sims 2 for PC. I'm also pretty sure it says on the box it is a requirement.

So you need the sims2 game to play university, yes.
