Instead of plugging Red and White wire into your TV, plug them in your surround sound system where is says "Input" on White and Red plugs in the back. White and Red are for sounds and Yellow is for video.

You will need an optical audio cable, sometimes called a TOSLINK cable. Both ends are the same. There is a slot on the back of the XBOX 360 AV cable where it plugs into the system that you plug the cable into. The other end goes into the receiver for your surround system.
