I just bought a baby red-eared slider 6 days ago. I put him in the required housing conditions last night and he doesn't seem to be eating. Any suggestions? Also I have the temperature set at 79 degrees. Is this ok for a baby?

basking light 85-90

as for food:
(store food is ok, but can not be olny source)
--so Reptomin
--rosie minnows(live fish)--nutritious
--goldfish too, not really nutritious, fatty, but still ok 1week
--water lettuce (pet stores, nurseries)
--green leafy veggies(we eat, romaine, escarole)
--cooked meats, chicken, turley, beef)
--dried crawfish in can(pet stores)
--tadpoles

the temperature needs to be higher, around 85. this may be why it is not eating. You should give it alot of live food, you should be able to get feeder minnows at your pet store put them in the tank live and he will eat them. Also give it some natural aquatic vegetation, you can also try the turtle pellets if nothing eles works, but natural food, especially live food is preferd
