do i just add all the ohms

Check for any delta and wye configurations and apply reduction formulas. After this, check for series and parallel reductions and apply those formulas. You should be left with your equivalent resistance.

If you aren't doing deltas or wyes in you class yet, just ignore them--they are used mostly in electrical engineering.

Use the formulas for resistors in series and resistance in parallel.
