No, the President and Vice-President will not ride in the same car together or usually won't even be in the same building (outside of the White House) together due to the fact that if an attempt was made on the President's life, the Vice-President must be able to assume the office if the President was killed. For example, if they were both riding in a car and it blew up, there would be no one in line to assume office. This works the same way with all branches of the government. Outside of a few circumstances (State of the Union Address etc) no 2 branches of the government (executive, judicial, legislative) are allowed to converge on one particular place due to the risk of having a crippled government if disaster struck.

No! The Secret Service would never allow this for obvious reasons. In fact, the President and the Vice-President rarely ever even travel together. I can't think of a time in recent history where the Prersident and the Vice President travelled together, simply because of the succession to office thing.

Under normal circumstances, you won't see that very often because of security reasons. In fact, you rarely see them at the same location.

The State of the Union address is one rare occasion where that happens but that is because the Vice-President is the President of the Senate, and presides at that occasion with the Speaker of the House. If I remember correctly, the President Pro-Tem of the Senate is absent so as to preserve a successor in case of a catastrophe.

No because if one gets blown up then the other one doesn't, and if they did ride in the same vehicle if that one vehicle got blown up then both of them are gone that is why they always have at least one cabinet member on a closed circuit tv for all their meetings.

It is no longer allowed due to the fact that if it were in a deadly accident or if there was an attempt on life, they could both be killed and leave us temporarily without a leader.
