can you get a home to buy with a credit score of 566?

bought house in 1999. became ill in 2004 and could not make payments. foreclosure was started, but we negotiated with the bank and eventually got back on track with payments. We eventually sold house but credit score has been damaged. will we ever be able to get anoth home loan.

If you can continue to pay on time, things should get better in 5 to 7 years.

SURE. But you will have to take the time to rebuild your score. The current home mortgage sub-par mess will work against you.
