I directed this show about 14 years ago, and it was a great show to work on. It is one of the "smaller parts" in the show, but a recognizable character. The Fenwickians are stuck in a different time period in the show so they still have a page, or a messenger/announcer/attendant type character.

I quoted the phrase "smaller part" because even though a part may have fewer lines, or fewer appearances does not mean that it's not a good part. I've seen many a show where a "smaller part" character has made a great impression or given a wonderful performance. And every part is added to a script for a reason and is not at all "unimportant" to the author.

I would also like to add that this show I worked on was probably one of the top two great theatre experiences I've had. It was a really fun show to work on, and our cast was great fun also. I hope you have as much fun doing the show as I did.

The mouse that roared was a book, then a movie, there are a series of books actually written by Leonard Wibberly about a small independent duchy that declares war on the US, expecting to lose and they win...very amusing. I read them as a teen.
