Recently, my nipples have been staying hard.?

Just recently, like maybe the last 3 days, my nipples have been perpetually hard. I thought it was the cold weather, but even when i am inside, they stick up through my shirt. My mom and brother have noticed, but i don't know what to do about it, or what's even causing it. any suggestions on hiding them from the family?
