I am More on the satisfaction side because happiness is more the for the moment of money but all of it fades its like a High I feel when you have the more money the more greedy you may be and more satisfaction you may feel...I believe Money is not the #1 thing in life its happiness within

Money makes life a whole lot easier, that's for sure. It eliminates the misery associated with being in debt, fighting over lack of money and not having the things you want. Let's face it...I'd rather have money than not and so would you.

I disagree that money turns people into drug addicts. I disagree that money makes people miserable. This may be true here and there, but on the whole it is not true. I know FAR more miserable poor people than miserable rich people.

Money makes you more of what you are: If you're a jerk, it will make you a bigger jerk. If you're a good person, it will make you a better person. Witness those who are wealthy who use their money to help others because - after all - there's only so much stuff you can buy.

Finally, if one cannot manage small amounts of money, one will not be able to manage LARGE amounts of money. That's why instant millionaires usually end of broke. They never learned how to control money in any amount, so it flies out the door.

Yes, money gives me happiness. I am the most honest person here. I am materialistic and I love things. I have a great marriage and two beautiful children and they make me happy. Things cost money; amusement parks, the zoo, restaurants, board games we play as a family, Chuck E Cheese,etc...
Without money we would be sitting on our butts all day starring at each other. So money brings even more happiness and satisfaction to an already happy person.

Everyone who doesn't have it thinks if they did they would be happy. However, if this was the case, how come people who finally make it big end up killing themselves (usually with drug overdoses). We tend to think things will make us happy, "If I could only have this or that I will be happy". You get your wish and now can have anything you want, whenever you want it. What is left to dream about? Where is the motivation to work toward, or for, something? If you are a happy person, that's what you will be regardless of wealth. Having enough to get by (safe housing, reliable car, dinner out now and then and the occasional vacation) is enough to be happy and still dream about making it big one day,

Neither. If u have all the money in the world u could still be a sickly or lonely person, so it deffenetiely won't make u happy there. Also if u have cancer or something like that, what is money gonna do for u?? absolutly nothing, like the guy who owns sams club and walmart's son died in a plane crashh and he had all the money in hte world but his money didn't help him there. Money won't satisfy u if you are missing other things like friends, family, and love.

One day, I almost took a job that offered more money but was not what I wanted to do. I ate some Chinese at lunch and my fortune cookie read someting like, "Money is just a concept, it is people who empower it." It worked for me that day. Basically, it was saying that it doesn't matter how much money you make, it is more what you do with it that will determine how it factors into your overall happiness.

Not really; you have to have "real" happiness first.

In other words, you have to be satisfied with your own self-image and place in life, in your relationship, etc., first. This has little to do with money.

As long as we have a dry roof and a warm bed, I'm happy.

A little extra money allows us to enjoy things like more expensive food items, wine, etc., and things like live music performances.

Otherwise, money by itself really doesn't buy lasting happiness.

I know a lot of people with more money than I have who are misable human beings.

Me? Yes. because I know what it is to be without money and I already know the secret to life. So money is all I lack.

For the vast vast majority of people, money will not bring lasting happiness.

It gives you a moment of happiness
because you might feel successful.
But there are greater things in life for real satisfaction.
