A cheap, reliable NES system? I have tried eBay and Amazon already. The Flea Market wants them for like $50.00! GameStop and EB Games does not sale old skool games, not even Nintendo 64 anymore. Any ideas? Thanks!

God Bless!

If you know of a place that deals with import goods, you can somtimes find reliable unlicensed NES consoles (aka "Famiclones") for really cheap. Several of them have 60/72-pin compatibility, allowing you play foreign Famicom and US NES games, and often come with some games programmed in. Most are top-loading, so they don't have all the problems that the old front-loading NES had (like the purple screens, having to blow in the system to make games work, busted springs, etc.).

The Messiah NEX and Yobo Famiclones are two popular and cheap NES knock-offs that are compatible with most games.

If you do want officially licensed hardware, though, Drick's link has some good deals.
