They had a good show( finally) in mtv. well they have that True life and stuff, which is great. About the only good thing they have. ANyways it was a show about Autistic teens. One of them was Autistic but he didn't have any of the symptoms other autistics have. Like, he could talk well and everything, all that was strange was he kind of talked like a robot. and sometimes he would be stuck and couldn't think of what to say. But he was a kid who wanted to be a comedian, and even had some shows. So that's awesome . He is better than me at speaking and in his social life.

I'm quiet, i have trouble speaking, pronouncing sounds.. and i can't think fast. Sometimes i get stuck trying to think things. But everyone says i'm normal.

I'm shy and quiet yes.. and i've been like this since 5 years old. I'm 27 now. But still, i fail to see the difference between me and that MTV true life Autistic kid who was a comedian and talked well, had a large vocabulary and all. I'm even worse than him.

Autism isn't diagnosed by social skills, even though communication is probably where Autistics have the most difficulty. Autism is a problem in the way your brain develops and functions. If your only symptoms are that you have trouble with vocabulary and spitting out the right words, you probably are not autistic. For example, many autistic people have a very hard time focusing or making eye contact. Also, being touched by others irritates them very very much.
If you show some of those symptoms, it might be because you have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ASD ranges from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), which is very common, to full-fledged Autism. So, you might just have a very mild form of Autism.
If you're really concerned, though, you should probably get evaluated. Go to your doctor and take some tests just to check. Because, if you are Autistic or have ADD, medicine could help you an enormous amount.
Good luck.

There is a condition linked to autism called Aspergers disease. It is possible you have this, but you would have to speak to a health care professional to find out for sure. People with Aspergers are able to talk, and function in daily life with little difficulty. Their social skills are usually lacking. Many people will go through life without ever being diagnosed, but you could bring it up to a doctor or psychiatrist and see what they say.

Autism is caused by a "glitch" in your genes. People with autism usually aren't as capable as the person you mentioned above. Most times they cannot express their feelings at all. They cannot communicate well and can barely speak. Many people with autism cannot function on their own in society. Now with that being said, there are less severe cases of autism like the person mentioned. However, autism in a person has to be identified very early in the child, like 1-3 years old. At this age a behavioralist can work with the child and help the child be able to function much more normally. Research has shown that the effects of autism are much less dramatic if caught very early in life. Once a child gets to the age of 4 or 5 it becomes much harder for them to be able to learn to function almost completely normally in society. If you were autistic and have been like this since 5, most likely you wouldn't even be able to type on your computer right now.

Autistic kids have no sense of danger. For example, they might wander into traffic. You don't sound like you think slowly.
