Yes, but Im kind of doing the same, I'm thinking of buying a train ticket to New York and just picking up and leaving for a while and I know my friends will be upset, but honestly I dont know what else I can do

Not really. with my friends it'd never surprise me!
When I moved across the country I gave my friends a week or less notice...we threw the crappiest going away party but still had fun...
