Do you believe this?

heh, I look at my veins, and I see blue veins. It's what's inside that I don't believe is blue.

You're correct, it's not true. It's just a darker shade of red when not oxygenated. Veins only appear blue because of an optical effect that happens when light passes through human skin.

Yes, I believe it. You said when you look at your veins, they're blue, right? That's because your veins carry your blood. Your veins are basically see through tissues so that's why they're blue. But, some of your blood in your body is red because when you breathe in and out, the oxygen hits the blood. So, what have we learned today? Humans DO have blue blood! :)

It is true. Humans have blue blood, which turns red when exposed to oxygen. Take a good look at your veins and you should see a dark blue.

Yeah... I mean, look at a vein in your arm, is it red? It's probably blue.
Wouldn't it be kinda weird if we had red veins, not blue, just wouldn't look normal.

It's black because the plasma separates from the red blood cells when it's put in a bag.
