I like all kinds of music, some of my favorites: The Beatles, Meshell Ndegeocello, Primus, Green Day, Gavin Degraw, Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Rob Thomas, Dr. Dre, Sade, Zero Seven, Jaco Pastorious, Eminem, James Blunt, 80's music, Billy Mann, Jason Mraz,
as you can see my tastes are all over the map.

Try listening to some underground music there are new and old bands that are not popular but are trying to get out there for example there is Bullet for my Valentine if you like metal or even Good Clean Fun if you are straight edge but it all depends on you taste so just listen to different radio stationsand then when you find something you like ask your friends if they know what the song is calleed or who it is by but sometimes the radio station will even tell you
