applied 30th aug 2006 - appeal date 18th April, as tribuninal adjourned for medical evidence.

When they gave you the form they should have stamped a date on it (I think). That is the date you will get money from. What I mean is that if your appeal is successful, they have to pay you from the time you applied.

It's a good idea to appeal, as it seems that 99% of people are rejected at first. You stand a better chance if you can appeal in person before the tribunal. I got mine backdated for about 9 months.

dla stands for disability living allowance to those who asked, if the tribunal says you should be paid from that point you will get that money I go with what hypocrite above me said

Yes. IF you win the appeal you are paid from the date of your claim.

i thought it was only 3 months but dont know in the case of appealing,it may be different
