Cars today use acylic enamel paints. Putting lacquer on will cause it to wrinkle. If it is a small scratch or pit, nail polish works quite well. My wife uses it every time she takes the car out.

I've used Meguiar's Clear Coat Scrub with good results before:

If the scratches are shallow and relatively small, the Meguiar's should take care of it. Otherwise, I'd go with nail polish. The dealership can sell you touch-up paint but it will be a lot more expensive than nail polish if you can find a color that matches your car.

no it will blister try get small can from dealer some have in stock
