Yes go! There is nothing wrong with you still being friends with her. Once in awhile I still talk to my ex's parents and my fiance is ok with that and so is my ex's wife. If you had a good relationship with her than why not!?!?!!?!

I found it best to cut all ties with the ex's family. For me, it just prolongs the pain of a failed relationship despite who did the "breaking up". I've never met a guy yet that dated a woman or rekindled a friendship based on their mother's wishes. I actually think the guy would think you are desperate if you heated up a relationship with his mother. Bottom line, do what is right for you. Go with your gut. You know the parties involved more than the dozens of users who might respond here.

Sorry but when you end a relationship you should also cut ties (except when children are involved) with the ex's family. It will look like you are trying to get back or play games with the ex.

This has actually happened to me except I had met her and we were on good terms. We would talk quite a bit after our break-up. However, one day she turned cold towards me because my x was upset and thought she cared for me for than him - so just be careful. But if you do still have feelings for this guy and want to get back, this may be a great door. Good luck!

Hell no i wouldn't go if you never met the woman before she may be standing there with a big stake knife for you when you get there as far as you know for hurting her sons feelings

I would go, but you have to be careful as your ex may not like you both having the relationship because you are not together anymore. talk to him if you can and explain that you would like to meet up with his mum. Hope you both work it out good luck!

I don't think I would go. Not if I had never met her in person. Now, if I had and we had established a friendship I might. But in your situation I just don't see the purpose. It sounds like it might just prolong the pain and prevent you from moving on.

If you still like your ex , why not going. Get to know her too. Maybe you not going to get together again. but atleast you have a chance to get to know his mother.

You have to decide if it is over or not. Why would you want to continue to have anything to do with him or his family if it is truly over. There is no point in putting yourself through more pain.
