I have a fender strat and was wondering how do you lower your strings cuz mine are high. My friends have their strings lower than mine so Please help me.

on the little metal bridges, there are two screws either side of the bridge. You screw them in or out to get the desired height of the strings.

Don't go too low or you'll get fret buzz.

Go to this website, they will show you how to set up an electric guitar.

I've done all of mine and it makes a big difference how it plays.

Allen(hex ) key on bridge to lower string height.Adjust neck truss rod for a very slight upsweep with string tension on it.Adjust intonation (string length) at back of bridge,so that harmonic at twelfth fret matches fretted note at twelfth fret.If you are challenged beyond your patience,better music stores have people who will set it up for a small fee.

Look at the top of your guitar, there should be 6 knobs, they each correspond to a string, just turn them and pluck the corresponding string to hear the pitch and get it where you want it.
