I have to agree with K!tson. A true prep dresses at Ralph Lauren and Lacoste. They tie polo sweaters over their shoulders and play croquet at their beach houses in The Hamptons. They go yachting on the weekends and drink Manhattan Sidecars at the Country Club. Most likely you shop at Aero, AE, Abercrombie. Most people think that's prep due to the polos and khaki, and the beach-y feel. But don't label yourself, it that's how you dress that's fine but you aren't in the very true essence of the word a prep.

FYI-
Preps don't shop at Abercrombie and Fitch.
They shop at little stores in the Hamptons, and would never be caught dead in an Abercrombie store.
The only chain stores they shop at are Ralph Lauren and Lacoste.
So stop calling yourself a prep, because, most likely, you shop at Aeropostale, Abercrombie, and Hollister.

No.. cause im a prep too.. People at school and at home are always like "god ur such a prep" but they dont think its wrong.. its who i am!! Theres nothin wrong with being a prep!

I honestly thought that the whole prep thing was out during the late 1980's, but you do what makes you happy. you're an individual and you can make your own choices.

i doubt you're really a prep b.c if you were you'd being wearing rl polos and oxfords and theres nothing wrong with that. and seriously why do you care if anyone doesnt aprove of preppiness?

Well its your opinion and your choice whether or not to be a prep. You can be who you want. You have freedom to say and do what you wanna do.

as long as you feel comfortable and in your own skin, nothing's wrong with being preppy, or whatever else.. but again, why label? when you can start a new label for yourself! :)

nope who cares what u wear if your comfortable go ahead i myself am preppy as well i love hollister and aeropostale and AE but some people just dont like the clothes or find it to expensive, you just have to be optimistic and comfortable with who you are!
