Oh lets see Tom. Where I live they work in chicken processing plants. I live in the town where Sanderson Farms was founded. The whites(even the totally uneducated whites) and a good many of the blacks(also uneducated) think they are too good to do this work. They will lay around on their collective asses and take welfare and spit out babys year after year though. So, taking "our" jobs?? They aren't taking our jobs here they are taking the jobs and making an honest living that some folks think they are too good to do. Illegal is the only problem I have with the Mexicans. Oh and just for your information. My Godson is half Hispanic. He has a bachelors degree in nursing. He owns his own house on 50 acres of land, has two paid in full vehicles. A wife and a three year old son and is only 27 years old.

This is a legitimate problem for the American economy. Hard working Mexicans who accept what Americans consider to be low wages. They are driving down the pay for Americans who do not live as cheaply as Mexicans know how to live, and who don't traditionally pool their resources. In Mexico the minimum wage is .50. Somehow we must support the Mexican government to improve the standard of living for it's citizens and to raise the minimum wage. I understand that there is an imbalance of wealth and power in Mexico. Something has to be done about that. Something is wrong there. We don't have a problem with Canadians flooding America Illegally because they have a better standard of living.

Solution:
A blanket amnesty for all illegal Mexican workers in the country, offering them all work permits, registering them and overseeing the way they are paid, to make sure they are paid at least the minimum wage. That way they won't be abused. Then if a US citizen is willing ot do the same job for the minimum wage, and will work as well, as has as good a chance as the Mexican.
You see, the people who are getting cheated are not the US citizens, but the Mexicans.
By the way, Spain has done this repeatedly, and it has worked quite well.

Have you ever thought that the mexicans do those jobs because americans won't? You should do, because thats how imigration works. When people arrive in a country they will take the first jobs that have vacancies. Usually it's the poorly paid ones that involve hard work. If people like you did those jobs instead of complaining all the time then immigration would fall, because the work wouldn't be available to them.

As long as there are employers willing to seek out and hire these people of all nationalities that are willing to labor for minimum pay it won't happen. The government of the US has laws to prevent this but are not really being enforced because business both large and small have the Feds in their back pockets. The United States has the best government money can buy.

well for one they are the only ones that will do those jobs,a study in colorado had a mexican and an anglo working the same job at the same pay and the anglo quit the second day,mexicans are more willing to work,its their country shitting on them that made them that way,wouldn't you,as for illegally here im all for deporting them,make them come hear legaly,thats only right,we couldnt go to another country illegally,i have many mexican friends that feel the same way,it's ruining it for the ones that are doing it correct,watch the candians they are wolves in sheep clothing,i deal with them all the time they are the ones to watch out for.

Not all mexicans are illegal immigrants, first of all. Secondly, maybe if Bush would allow them to move here and grant them citizenship instead of granting some of these other people easy access to this country maybe we wouldn't have such a problem. Most mexicans are willing to work in labor that petty whites act like they are above doing, when whites stop acting all high class and above certain jobs maybe there'd be more whites working them. But noo, they have to work their high class little corporate jobs and act like they are above other people, so that's why.

I am sorry to hear that you work as a field laborer or cut lawns. Maybe getting some education might land you an non-physical labor job.

The US and all Western European countries are in a huge negative population growth trend and have been for a long time. If we were to even reduce immigration our entire Social Security system would collapse.

I could care less if they're here, but they all need to pay taxes, Social Security, and speak English. I should not have to press "1" to hear something in my native tongue. If everything is bilingual it just enables them, and insults their people to assume that they are too stupid to learn. But we cater to that just to make another dollar.

So if you really hate the Mexicans taking jobs, ask yourself how much of a sellout YOU are first.
