want to clean it really bad!

Thanks, I am vacuuming it once week when I change my linen and I have the cover, I think thye plastic would be rather sweaty, but as long as that's all there is to it I am ok! Just checking, I have no mites, but I hate that commercial!!

vacuum once a week and use a mattress pad that can be washed to reduce dust mites.

All you need to do is vacuum it once a week. And use a plastic mattress cover and you will eliminate all the "bugs". I think you are talking dust mites here, aren't you? I hope that's all you have lol

In the old days we used to take them outside and lay the mattress on kitchen chairs to sit in the sun all day. There was even like a rug beater that you could hit it with. You can also vacuum it, just use the one you use on your floor with the rug beaters in the head. I like airing outside beside the vacuuming though. A good mattress protector is another good thing to have, then you can simply wash that.

I hate to burst your bubble but mites are there and they will be there no matter how well or how often you clean. there are bugs on your body and in your ears and we live with them .
