How do you win someone else's civil war?

DOnt give me the BS that Iraq isnt a civil war. Even the pentagon says it is!

You can win a war not a occupation of someones land, you just go home. Bush is working for Saudi Arabia so the Sunni will be the majority in Iraq so the Shiites don`t spread to Saudi Arabia and overthrow the royal family.

You win by getting the thing you want. We cant win their civil war but we are trying to make sure the side we like wins. I dont agree with this philosophy but I can understand it. It doesnt make any difference if it is a civil war. Have you ever been under fire??? Do you think you would care who fired the bullet that removed your arm??
