GET OUT NOW! Before it is too late. I have seen too many relationships hit this point and the only thing that usually happens is she ends up in the hospital or morgue. If not for yourself, do it for your children. If he hasn't yet started hitting your children, he will and that will be on you. I don't mean to get tough on you but you have asked for help and I am trying to help you. The best thing to do is leave while he is at work. If it is your house, have all of the locks changed while he is gone. Are there any friends of yours that you can get to come over and stay for a few days? If not, when you change the locks be ready to call the police. Even better would be to change the locks but, spend a few days at someone else's house and make arrangements through the local police to have him escorted to the house to get his belongings. If all else fails, get a frying pan and tell him that your glad he feels the need to hit you to keep him in line. Then tell him to go to sleep and laugh while you do it.

first of all, i'm sorry to hear you're having this sort of trouble.
i'd like to say your boyfriend doesn't have to buy you clothing or shoes... that is not what a relationship is about.
he DOES need to respect you and treat you with kindness.
you might need to call social services or the police for help.
hitting and abusing other people is assault. it's a crime to physically abuse others... no one has a right to touch you!
take care of YOU and go to the police

I don't understand why you "have" to live with him. Why not call the police and seek assistance from a battered women's shelter in your area? Would that not be better?
Of course, I can only speak from the angle of a man's logic. I really don't understand why so many women find it difficult to get out of these situations. I hope the suggestion is helpful, nevertheless...

So why should he purchase you shoes or clothes? As for abusing him...that's easily remedied. Call the police.
