I mean are they something like electrons, protons etc.. Or are they vibrations?

If you sign up to string theory, then elementary particles such as photons, electrons, quarks, neutrinos and so on are all just different vibration states of closed loops of we don't know what.

There is a wave function associated with all matter, it's just not really noticable except for photons and electrons, which can also show a wave-like interference pattern when fired through a pair of slits. All other particles are just too massive to show this, but in theory even something like the Earth would show it.

It's this wave-like property of all matter which limits everything to the speed of light.

Photons are massless particles, and "solid" is a property of mass so it doesn't apply. They are particles in the sense that they can strike something and transfer momentum to it.
As for you're second question, yes they are vibrations, but not of matter. What vibrates is the elecrtic and magnetic field intensity about them.
Photons are pieces of light, that behave like particles, and have wave-like properties too, such as interference and diffraction.

They behave like particles in photoelectricity and some similar effects, but are mostly wavelike in their interaction with each other and with matter. When photons get converted into matter, they take up a mass m, given by m = E/c^2 where E is the energy of the photon (Planck's constant X frequency) and c is the velocity of light in vacuum. Otherwise, they behave like vibrations with a frequency f and wavelength, lambda, connected by the relation, f X lambda = c

Photons are not matter. They have no rest mass, but they have momentum i.e. they can push things.
They belong to a class of elementary particle called bosons. These particles can overlap, which is why you don't talk about volume of photons. Matter is made of fermions, which cannot overlap. So, photons are very different from electrons and protons.

nicely sounds like this has been responded nicely. So, we've heard that crystals have vibrations. We found out that the apprehensive device communicates with polerized electro-chemical reactions (and not probably in frequecies). So, desire am i able to upload? nicely, the point of potential. the point of potential isn't that huge in the human device. which you are able to think of that those crystals might desire to result us. however the cystals in elementary terms have thermal potential and that they are in thermal equalibrium. So, they might gave off frequencies yet they take up then on the comparable cost. so, theirs no internet result. this is genuine of any materal that may no longer warmer or chillier then this is atmosphere. An different remark are the frequencies those might vibrate at. The crystal in maximum watches run in the loads of thousands of cycles a 2nd. So a crystal around your neck is probably one hundred, 000. Your apprehensive device is a minimum of 1000 circumstances slower. So, it sort of feels that issues are way distinctive and can have a puzzling time interplay, besides the fact that if the crystal replace into giving off severe potential. Now in case you think that it has an result then the theory is affecting you and that is genuine. however the crystal inflicting an prompt result must be got here upon in elementary terms with the help of a double blind test on a great pattern of folk. this is assuming the end result's small. Like others have suggested, we are bathed in waves. the main effectual are likely out of your laptop or out of your cellular telephone, and radio and tv stations. those are lots greater effectual than a crystal sitting around might supply off. this is been suggested that a number of hte old silver enamel fillings sometime might come loose and a effectual AM radio station might desire to be heard from the filling. Now their's a wave that promptly affected a guy or woman.

Photons are solid, a Photon Torpedo will prove this (and scientists now think there is some things even small than Protons Electrons and Nutrons)

Nobody knows. They are not a particle, not a wave, not either, not neither and not both. The do not have mass but can exert pressure. Work that one out.

they are both. the example that proves how theymove is to imagine a wave passing into a cove or other small space, as it enters the wave does not keep going straight forward but spreads out.

Particle waves.

They have properties of both.

They exist, or act, as both particles AND waves.
