Do all giraffes slobber?

I fed a giraffe yesterday and was left with a slimy slobbery hand. Is this normal?

Yes, mammals...especially ungulates need saliva to help digest the carbohydrates they eat.

Eww, giraffes have those purple tongues as well....lucky you.
