I'm 7 months preg (28 weeks) and mine's been hurting too. As far as I know, it's because the ligaments in your pelvis are stretching to prepare for the birth.
Hurts me most when I've been lying on my side (like on the couch watching TV), then suddenly get up and walk elsewhere in the house - I figure I just took weight off it for a while, then when I got up, the weight of the baby put stress on those ligaments again.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Your pelvis is actually six bones held together at joints. The two bones that make up the pubic bone start to loosen at the joints to allow more flexibility for your baby to come out. This is a normal happening in pregnancy, and I'm guessing this is your first baby because it's gets the sorest with your first. It will eventually loosen and stop hurting. You won't notice any difference or movement in the pelvis, but you may notice you waddle a little more when you walk.
After the baby is born it will tighten up again, but your pelvis will be slightly wider than before the baby (how forensic scientists can tell if a female skeleton has given birth). So don't worry about it, try to lay in a comfortable position and get some rest before the baby gets here! Congrats and good luck!

Oh my I had the exact same thing that your talking about happen to me. What you need to do is sleep with a pillow in between your legs and it works wonders. What took all my pain away was I started to do Keggle Exercises. It's where you tighten and release your muscles down there. Like when your peeing, you hold it in to stop the urin flow, it's like that. Do like 20 sets at a time like 3-4 times a day and I don't know what it did but it completely took my pain away in the pubic bone area. So, I hope that helps you out. But really sleep with a pillow inbetween your legs and you'll notice a big change.
Good Luck!!

My logical assumption would be that your baby has dropped putting added pressure on this area of your body. Also, in preparation for birth the pubic bone actually spreads. This is what you may be feeling also. I wouldn't worry too much unless it becomes extremely uncomfortable. I would just mention this at your next appt. and the doctor will be able to give you a better idea.

I'm 39 weeks and I have been going through the same pain for about a month now. I guess the hurting is from the pressure of the baby.

Its just pressure from your baby transitioning into the Birth position. Hang in there your almost to the finish line.

You body is preparing for childbirth. You are expanding...as gross as that sounds, it's normal. Try sleeping with a pillow between your legs. Good Luck

Sounds like your baby's dropped into birthing position. This happens late in pregnancy and can cause pelvic and hip pain.
