Wife is going back to work in two weeks and our newborn will just not drink out of a bottle. Any, any any helpful hints on getting a breastfed baby to bottle feed would be thankfully received.

I don'tk know if you have a girl or a boy, so I'm gonig to refer to the baby as she, because I have a girl.
My little one did not want to take the bottle either. We tried about 5 different bottles, the one she will eat out of is Dr Brown standard nipple. These bottles are also good because they reduce amount of air the baby swallows. If she sucks on a pacifier try removing the pacifier and switching it with the bottle. If it does not work try again but do it fast. She might be refusing the bottle not because she does not want it but because the suck is different for the bottle and she does not know how to suck it effectively. My baby would twist her tongue and suck just like a breast until she got frustrated and started crying. If she does not suck the pacifier do it while she is breastfeeding when the feeding slows down and she is almost full or sleepy.
Try giving the bottle at night when she is sleepy that way she is more relaxed and easier accepting to new things. We patient, if she starts crying take the bottle away, calm her down and try again. But don’t force it too much or she will see the bottle as punishment and not take it at all.
Good luck.

a couple of things you might want to try is for one, change the size of the nipple that is on the bottle.. sometimes the ones that they come with are to much for a little one. you can buy nipples that are much smaller and easier for the baby to handle it.
second, I imagine that if she was breast feeding your baby, that she is also pumping her breast to fill the baby bottles with, that will help the baby to wean away from the mother, and get used to the bottles and then to formula.
You could try putting a little touch of sugar on the nipple. she might take it after that if she likes the taste. good luck to both of you and congratulations on the new arrival.. bet she is precious.

switch bottles, it may be the nipples arent right for him/her..
my mom told me to dip the nipple in sugar water before trying to feed my baby from the bottle when i was switching, thankfully my daughter seemed to prefer the bottle to me.. lol
so i didnt have to do that.. but maybe give it a try.

try playtex nurser bottles with the drop in liners. the nipple on those is big and soft like a breast. and introduce it to your baby when he/she is really hungry because the baby is less likely to reject it. it willtake time but you can do it. just dont give up. good luck!

They have nipples that are supposibly similar to a mothers nipple. I doubt there that similar but maybe you could try those? Bascially, just dont give up.
