Most outlets, switches and GFCIs are rated for use with copper wire only. Aluminum wire will oxidize and weaken electrical connections. Home Improvement centers do carry special outlet devices which are approved for use with aluminum wire. Unfortunately, these tend to cost more.

Your local hardware store or home center should carry an approved aluminum to copper adapter. They are not expensive and should do the job for you. As mentioned previously do not wire your AL wires directly to the outlet as corrosion will occur and the resulting arcing through the high resistance connection will generate enough heat to start a fire.
