I guess that girl in Vail didn't think much of his talent.

Kobe is an amazing player but needs a supporting player. Without Shaq, Kobe has proved nothing. Compared to Micheal Jordan, Jordan was a better player, but Jordan would not be as good as he was if it were not for having Scottie Pippen on his team. No single player can carry a team, otherwise they would not have team baskteball. It all comes down to supporting cast. Kobe is a great player but I think he is almost past his prime. And he will never be considered the most talented player in history. Did everyone forget about Dr. J, Micheal Jordan, Domnique Wilkens, Pistol Pete, Charles Barkley, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bob Cousy, Magic Johnoson, Larry Bird, Elgin Baylor, and the best duo of all time John Stockton and Karl Malone. Kobe take a seat, you will make the Hall of Fame, but you will never make the top ten best players of all time.

I'm a kobe lover and i truly believe hes currently one of the best player in the league right now. People just make excuses that just because the lakers are losing doesn't mean kobe isn't all that great. I bet that if they replaced kobe for a young mj, it still wouldn't make them much better. Lakers need a decent point guard (Smush is very inconsistent and should be better in free throws. No point guard should be shooting like 65% free throws) and the rest of the laker squad are inconsistent to (besides kobe). They need people they could depend on on the clutch. They also need a good power forward that could play good defense and could rebound the ball. Anyways, yes kobe is amazing and a lot of ppl might disagree with this but i do think he is close to mj..
This refers to jon f. Kobe does pass the ball to his teammates, but they can't make shots at all even if they are open. Lakers have no good shooters besides kobe what so ever. Yes Lamar and smush might have a good shooting night one game, but end up missing like 12 straight shots the other game. This is why kobe has to hog the ball a little. And also you said that if a player got fed the ball for 48 minutes and got the rhythm like kobe, anyone could do it. first of all, did you see the shots kobe made last night. He was getting double teamed and still made shots. Smush Parker doesn't even do that when hes open. I'd rather have kobe shoot the ball with 3 people on him instead of smush shooting when he is open. To score 65 points, you have to be great player, no doubt about it. The reason why he has the ball most of the time is because he is the only one that is consistent.

kobe is amazing. BUT... hes not the most talented player out there in the NBA right now. that role belongs to lebron james. kobe is only good for scoring he doesnt share the ball he doesnt rebound well. kobe shoots and scores. lebron james is the best all around player cureently in the NBA and by the end of his carrear will be in the top 10 of all time. possibly even higher.

Okay, if your not saying he is any of those things then why do you think that he is good. Kobe is a good basketball player everyone can see that.
Does he play with a team well? No.
Does he play like he is part of a team? No.
Does he care about the people and players other than himself? No.
He is a good player, he just has to work on his teamwork and people skills.

Not to say Kobe isn't talented because he is but the fact that he is a selfish, ball hog, jerk, rapest, and cheats on his wife makes me want to strip him of his "Greatest Player" title. When he learns to become a team player like Steve Nash then ill agree but as for now Absolutely not.
P.S. MICHEAL JORDAN IS THE BEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME SO GET OVER IT.

kobe is a good player, but not the all time greatest, for one reason he carries the lakers if you got fed the ball for 48 minutes a game and got in a rhythm like him, then anyone could score 55,65 points in a game..but players like lebron actually pass and make everyone on his team better, not just showing off and hogging the ball..

Of course he's the best!....listen to some of these answers..
"anybody could score pionts if they were fed the ball"....
"He's a rapist".......
They say these stupid things because they know nothing about B-Ball....what's next?..Ballhog!..lol.....
Lebron commands the Ball just as much as Kobe....you don't see him scoring 81...and both Kobe and Lebron average 6 assists....to easy...to easy!

He is good but just because he is on a team where he feels he needs to take every shoot does not make him the best player. I think their are plenty of players who are better or close to but don't get the recognition because they are on teams where they don't have to take every shoot.
