I have pride in my country as well. I only buy American made cars and clothes. I don't like supporting other countries. I think America should stop the free trade and cut the umbilical cord.

It sucks. Well i love the country i was born in, the Netherlands. I live in the UK and i guess people think that way because many people hate America. Mostly because they are the country that withdrew from the Kyoto agreement, they are the ones that produce the most carbon dioxide and they have a weird president that wants to hurt the rest of the world. Yes America is the land of opportunities, but we can get those opportunities over here too. Unless you want to become an astronaut you have to go to the States but that's a different subject. But i still love the States and its people anyways.

Well, I have pride for my country, which just happens to be America. There are a lot of problems like the ones that they all named, but it still is an awesome country. Yes, we are at war and lots of countries don't like us, but so what? We are still a good country (with problems). There ya go.

I think it's possible to be dissatisfied with some aspects of american life or american public policy and still have pride in the US. This is America, after all. People are supposed to be able to express their views openly. There are 300 million people here. Is it really so surprising that they have such different views?
