Can you? Yes... should you, No. One time for one day really shouldn't hurt anything as food coloring isn't harmful to fish, but I sure wouldn't make a habit of it.

surely no longer. food coloring should be risk-free for people, yet like fairly some human issues, it really is no longer fish-risk-free or aquarium-risk-free. As for adorning, evaluate different ideas. How about some colourful silk flora which will brighten the bowl with out tearing at your betta's fins? or possibly make investments in a small gallon tank (they are very decrease priced and larger powerful than a bowl on your fish) with a mild? That way you should use colored lighting fixtures to tint the water with out including a drop of something. Tanks have the further bonus of being more advantageous roomy: that way you are able to upload more advantageous decor with out crowding the fish! there is also adhesive aquarium backgrounds, or in case you at the instantaneous are not up for that, decrease up some colored paper or colored celophane and placed it to the again of the bowl. lengthy tale short, there are lots of procedures to creatively improve your betta's living house with out harming him in the least :] a strong tip for the destiny is to substantiate something you seem into getting him is "aquarium risk-free" formerly you get it. wish you come across something that works!

No. Don't add anything to your fish's bowl but water and fish food.

poor betta. no you shouldn't. and please at least put him in a 2 1/2 gallon bowl with a mini filter, so he's not living in his waiste. and do him a favor, just take 25% of his water out every three days, don't dump the water and clean the bowl, treat it if it were a 50 gallon.

NO.
the additives, chemicals and dye in this may alter the water and damage or kill the fish, depending on what kind of dye it is. either way, unpleasant for the fish.
