Ha! Yes. Its worth $10 now. But you could buy more with that $10 in 1969. Strange isnt it?

$10. Prior to 1964 (I think) bills had silver certificate status meaning you could exchange them for $1 worth of silver. But for a couple of generations now that paper money has been backed by the full faith and credit of the US government (meaning that your bill will always be worth ten bucks).
