I have a hp laptop and latly It cannot play DVDs, I can play CDs, the problem is DVDs. the computer comes with an CD installer driver for DVds, I reinstalled and It didn't work either. Do you think it is a problem with thw computer itself?

PROBABLY your CD is ONLY A "CDROM" it can only play CD's CD MOVIES,,,,... BUT CANNOT PLAY DVD.... TRY TO UPGRADE IT WITH "DVDROM" OR BUY an EXTERNAL DVDROM

Try getting a CD drive cleaning disk to clean the optical lens. How old is the computer? The optical drive may be going bad.
