White Shoes Before Memorial Day

Yes, you can. That fashion rule no longer applies.

Usually, I let the weather or season dictate if I wear my white shoes. I mean, if the weather is yucky, I don't want to get my white shoes dirty. But if you live somewhere where the weather is mostly beautiful year 'round, like Southern Cali, Florida, Hawaii, Arizona...wear them anytime of the year!

The weather has been nice here, and Memorial Day is over 2 months away, and most of the time, the weather is still summer-like after Labor Day. Spring has sprung and I want to wear much more colorful clothes and outta my darker, fall and winter clothes.

Typically I've also noticed that white shoes are typically more a sandal style, or open toed, meant for warmer weather and clothes for warmer weather.

If the weather is nice where you are, and you want to wear that perfect outfit...go for it!

White boots would be alright, we have 16 inches of snow right now so that's where my mind is.
I don't like white shoes at any time, they always look a bit Minnie Mouse to me, if I need a shoe with a white dress or outfit, I wear a taupe or camel, something neutral, sometimes I'll wear a red.
I just don't like the fact that white shoes make your feet look so big.

nowadays you can wear white shoes at any time as long it goes with an outfit...it used to be that you couldn't wear white shoes before memorial day or after labor day...but that was then and this is now!

Traditionally, you were not supposed to wear white shoes before Memorial Day. But today, that "rule" doesn't really apply - it is no longer taboo to wear white shoes before Memorial Day.

This is the way I see it Sweety. If the shoes you bought are the ones you want to ware, then ware them. If they go perfect with you outfit then so be it. I'm sure on that day alot of people will be waring white sneakers, So with that said, you go and ware the cute little white shoes. Times are changing. Good luck and enjoy.

Ive seen white shoes worn for Christmas. I think in fashion there have not been rules like that for years...wear what looks good. Unless they would get dirty in snow, then rethink the whole outfit.

You can wear white shoes whenever you want. That little rule went out along time ago.

I think you should be allowed to wear whatever you want to wear regardless of memorial day. this is a free country and you need to be you at all times no matter what.

Wear your white shoes whenever you want. I do not think the fashion police will fine you. Conventional wisdom has nothing to do with wisdom. If they complete your outfit then go for it.
